2-stroke, oil/gas mixes itself. Its my wifes quad, it has never seen a drop of mud, she only rode it when we were putting around with our children on a friends property. Very Low hours, still has original tires on it and the nubs are still intact! It has been garage kept and she religiously maintained it. You must see it to believe it.
