And since your UTV is such a workhorse, you can add space to the front, back, and even the top to get the job done. - Cargo Box: Not all UTVs come from the factory with a cargo box already installed. However, if you plan to haul things around with you and don’t want to take up the passenger seat with all your materials, a cargo box is a great investment. You can even get a cargo/cooler combo to have space for your gear and have a way to keep bottled water or snacks nice and cool throughout the day. Different manufacturers offer a variety of sizes of boxes depending on your needs. For some UTV models, you can even get a full trunk bed enclosure to protect your whole cargo area.
- Outfitter Bed: An outfitter add-on attaches to your trunk bed to provide a variety of ways to carry lots of different gear. It’s kind of like a shelving unit with different compartments and tie-down spots to keep things organized and secure while you’re on the trail.
- Roof Rack: If you need to haul around longer items with you, such as fishing rods or maybe even a kayak, a roof rack can be a helpful accessory. Combine it with an outfitter bed rack and you have an even longer overall surface to work with. Just remember to be aware of the full height of items on your UTV when they’re loaded and try to avoid low-hanging branches and other potential hazards when going off-road.
- Hood Rack: When you need even more cargo area to haul all your gear, you can actually add another rack to the hood of your UTV. Hood racks are great for carrying extra tools or equipment without sacrificing bed space or cabin space, and they are designed to keep your view clear while you’re driving.
- Bed Trays: If you have a rack on the back of your UTV or you have bed rails to keep your cargo secure, sometimes it can be difficult to access it when you need it. Bed trays allow you to pull those materials out past the back of the bed—similar to how a drawer works—to make it easier to grab your equipment.
- Door Bags: If you just need a little extra space, door bags are an easy way to add extra compartments to the inside of your UTV without a lot of extra effort. They’re great for holding onto things like your keys, cell phone, or anything else you want to keep from flying around while you’re in transit.
