Polaris ATV

In the world of ATVs, Polaris is a well-known name. The Polaris Sportsman 570 consistently ranks as a favorite for both recreational and utility riders. Whether you’re blazing trails or tackling farm chores, the Polaris Sportsman 570 can rise to the challenge. Here is a closer look at why this model might be the perfect fit for your off-road needs.

The Polaris Sportsman line has long been known for its performance and utility. The 570 model, introduced as a successor to the popular Sportsman 500, brought a more modern engine, improved ergonomics, and upgraded features that raised the bar for what a mid-range ATV could provide.

Since its debut, the 570 has earned a reputation as a workhorse. It’s tough enough to withstand years of wear and tear on rough terrain, yet refined enough to make all-day rides comfortable. Whether you’re new to ATVs or an experienced rider, the Sportsman 570 is an intuitive, reliable, and versatile machine.

Power and Performance

At the heart of the Polaris Sportsman 570 is a 567cc, single-cylinder, ProStar 4-stroke engine that produces around 44 hp. That might not sound like a huge number to power adrenaline junkies, but for trail riding, towing, and hauling loads, it’s more than enough. The power delivery is smooth and responsive, making it easy to navigate tight trails or power through muddy conditions.

Paired with Polaris’ On-Demand True AWD system, the 570 automatically engages all four wheels when traction is needed, then reverts to 2WD when it’s not.

Top speed is estimated to be around 60 mph, which is plenty fast for most trail riding scenarios.

Suspension and Ride Quality

One of the biggest selling points of the Sportsman 570 is how it rides. The 570 easily glides over roots, rocks, and ruts that might trip up other models in this class. The ATV’s suspension setup, along with its relatively light weight (around 700 lbs. dry), makes for a nimble ride.

Utility Features

While plenty of riders use the Sportsman 570 for recreation, it’s also a great utility ATV. Polaris has equipped the machine with front and rear steel racks that have a combined cargo capacity of 270 lbs. There’s also a rear hitch receiver that supports up to 1,350 lbs. of towing capacity.

A 3,500-lb. winch is available on certain trims or as an add-on, which makes it even more suitable for tough jobs.

Need storage? The 570 includes a sealed, under-rack front storage compartment that’s perfect for tools, gear, or emergency supplies. Some trims also have additional storage bins.

Comfort and Ergonomics

Riding all day is only fun if you’re comfortable, and Polaris clearly kept this in mind when designing the Sportsman 570. The seat is plush and wide, which means great support whether you’re seated or standing on the pegs. The handlebar layout has good leverage and minimal vibration.

Polaris also introduced Electronic Power Steering (EPS) on higher trims of the 570, which significantly reduces rider fatigue on long rides.

The full floorboards provide ample foot protection and reduce mud splash, while the bodywork design keeps heat away from the rider.

Trim Options and Special Editions

Polaris offers the Sportsman 570 in a variety of trims to suit different riders and budgets. Options include the base model, the 570 EPS (with power steering for easier handling), the 570 Premium (with EPS, upgraded wheels and tires, painted bodywork, and winch), the 570 Hunter Edition (with camouflage bodywork, gun scabbard, front brush guard, and specialized storage for hunting gear), and the 570 Utility HD (with a front rack extender and integrated work accessories for job sites and heavy-duty use).

Value for the Money

One of the most appealing aspects of the Sportsman 570 is the cost. With a starting MSRP around $7,999, it delivers serious capability without breaking the bank. Even the EPS-equipped models come in under $10,000.

If you’re in the market for a do-it-all ATV that doesn’t compromise, the Sportsman 570 deserves a spot at the top of your list.
